TEAM LEAD - OPERATIONS 

Job Description:

This is an opportunity to join the most exciting dog food company in a Team Lead role. As Team Lead, you will assist Supervisors with directing, coaching, and mentoring Associates in an assigned department. This role also includes performing manufacturing duties when needed and ensuring Nom Nom can meet safety, quality and production standards.  

 

The ideal candidate is willing to get their hands dirty by diving into performance or equipment issues and being a problem solver as a first-level leader. 

 

What are we looking for?

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, food industry preferred.    
  • Lead or supervisory experience preferred

Knowledge/Experience 

  • Ability to work to specified KPIs and performance expectations.  
  • Experience working in an evolving, fast-paced, high-growth environment. 
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on quality. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Familiarity with major operating systems (Google Suite, Windows, and MS Office).  
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment.     
  • Flexibility with special projects from time to time. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to bend, stand, stoop, and squat. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. 

 

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Manage small groups of associates.   
  • Plan and report the activities of the team and prioritize safety and quality. 
  • Act as first-line support for issues and aim to resolve all incidents according to company policy and practices. 
  • Ensure the machine and working stations function properly and report issues to maintenance directly and immediately. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency. 
  • Maintain a focus on 5S philosophy, human safety, and quality & food safety.   
  • Assist with training new Associates. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
