PetPlace is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Payable Assistant who will be managing invoices, payment processing, account reconciliation, and preparing monthly aging reports while ensuring billing accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Job Description:
- Create invoices in general ledger and verify all billing information and ledger coding is accurate.
- Apply payments for all business types.
- Tracks receivable and/or payable activities.
- Prepare monthly aging reports accurately and comply with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments (sales, customer service, etc.) to follow up on billing issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain customer accounts in the accounting system, ensuring proper documentation of all transactions.
- Ensure timely application of payments and accurate reconciliation of accounts.
- Work closely with the finance and accounting teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.
- Resolve and track customer account inquiries.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- Education/Experience: Equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
Level Specific Responsibilities:
- Processes day-to-day transactions and related reconciliations
- Assists with billing inquiries and related changes
- Processes stop payments
- Responsible for claims related processes that reside in accounting
Accountability/Complexity:
- Works under limited supervision for routine situations
- May provide assistance, and training to subordinate support employees
