Job Summary:

Pets Plus Us is seeking a Bilingual Claims Processor. The Bilingual Claims Processor will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and processing insurance claims and determining policy coverage for the claimed loss and appropriate compensation amount.

Job Location: Remote – Canada

Compensation: $41,088 CAD

Main Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with veterinary hospitals, and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet’s medical history to determine a baseline of health.
  • Reviews policies to make an eligibility determination.
  • Creates and issues claims decisions to policyholder.
  • May order medical records from providers.
  • May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • 3+ years in the veterinary field if a licensed technician or 5+ years in the veterinary field if an unlicensed assistant.
  • Must be located in Canada.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience (one-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Veterinary technician licensure strongly preferred.
