Summary of Position:

Performs Human Resources related duties at the Professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following areas: general administrative duties, teammate records, recruiting, onboarding, reporting, engagement, workers compensation, metrics, employee relations and payroll. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple task while fostering a positive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for HR relation questions and issues, able to clarify processes and policies for teammates. Support conflict resolution including basic employee relations.
  • Support HR Manager/HRBP function and Teammate handbook maintenance
  • Responsible for Workers Compensation
  • Document processes and keep training materials for HR up to date
  • HR Partner security role in Workday, support assigned Business Processes and Managers
  • Partner with HR Systems Specialist for HRIS reporting
  • Maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and monthly reporting to support Invisible Fence Brand Leadership
  • Coordinate and execute HR onboarding with Recruiters, ensuring all necessary paperwork and onboarding tasks are completed timely
  • Coordinate and execute offboarding processes, ensuring all necessary paperwork and offboarding tasks are completed timely
  • I-9 Compliance Management. Assist managers and HR team with the I-9 process to ensure compliance
  • Assist L&D with New Teammate Orientation preparation (material creation, scanning documents, ordering/setting up food, booking rooms, and creating name plates).
  • Maintenance of all personnel files
  • Serve as backup for employment verifications and unemployment claims responses
  • General administration such as baby baskets, flowers, pet portraits, Birthday lunch set up, reconcile credit card charges related to Generalist responsibilities
  • Work closely with Recruitment, Benefits, and Payroll COE’s to best support and solve problems for IFB teammates

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in HR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources preferred or a related field
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PP)
  • HRIS Systems knowledge
  • Maintains strict confidentiality both internally and externally
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Exemplifies PetSafe Brands core values and behaviors
  • Professional-level Business Acumen
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve basic problems or issues
