The Kitchen Operator is the subject matter expert (SME) for the kitchen production area, responsible for executing key processes and training team members to ensure operational excellence. This role plays a vital part in leading daily kitchen activities, working closely with the Senior Operator and Team Lead to ensure that oils, supplements, and related materials are managed accurately, safely, and in compliance with food safety standards.

The Kitchen Operator ensures the reliable performance of all kitchen activities, including oil drum changes, supplement verification, and ingredient handling, while contributing to the overall efficiency and capability of the production team.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP, and site-specific requirements).
  • Execute essential kitchen functions such as oil drum changes and supplement verification to ensure accuracy and continuity in production.
  • Assist with ingredient handling, transfers, and preparation activities.
  • Operate kitchen equipment as trained and ensure proper cleaning and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Work closely with the Senior Kitchen Operator to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Provide support in routine setups, cleanings, and ingredient management.
  • Collaborate with other associates to ensure production targets are met.
  • Accurately complete basic forms and records related to kitchen processes.
  • Support quality checks by verifying supplements and reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and accuracy in all assigned tasks.
  • Act as the SME for all kitchen production area and equipment, carry out team member training, 




QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education & Professional Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer/iPad literacy for reporting and documentation.

Knowledge / Experience

  • 1+ years of manufacturing or production experience (food industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Mechanical aptitude to assist with equipment changeovers and adjustments.
