MACHINE OPERATOR 

Job Description:

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for working with a team in a manufacturing environment to set up, maintain, and operate machines to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production.   

 

What are we looking for? 

Education and Professional Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older. 

Knowledge/Experience  

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Ability to bend, stand, stoop, and squat.  
  • Ability to stand for extended periods. 
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.  
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.  
  • Food manufacturing experience is preferred.   
  • Strong, verbal and written communication skills. 

 

What will be your key responsibilities? 

  • Proper operation of the assigned machine in accordance with established procedures.  
  • Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and ensure that outputs are met.  
  • Examine and inspect raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications. 
  • Ensure appropriate and accurate documentation of processes.  
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.  
  • Maintain materials used in production processes.  
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 
  • Recommend improvements consistently, striving for efficient and effective methodologies. 
  • Maintain departmental quality standards. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
