Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for developing data and insight-backed strategies & executional plans to optimize pricing and promotions to drive sales and maximize profitability for all our retail brands portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize and perform data analytics and market research to make data-driven decisions and recommendations pertaining to pricing and promotions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to optimize planning, execution and measurement of pricing and promotions (e.g., right offers, retail partners, timing, messaging, measurement criteria, )
  • Recommend pricing and promotions strategies to achieve business objectives. Build & present business case to gain alignment on recommendations from key stakeholders and decisionmakers (including C-suite).
  • Measure, track, and evaluate performance of all pricing and promotional activities. Develop necessary dashboards/tools to help quickly socialize results and learnings to key stakeholders and lead timely actions to ensure continuous optimization of pricing and promotions programs.
  • Design and implement price/promo testing plans to accelerate and further learnings as warranted.
  • Forecast and manage promo discount budgets and reconcile the same with finance.
  • Monitor competitor pricing moves and market/macroeconomic trends and incorporate the same in analysis/recommendations.
  • Perform ad hoc analytics/Serve as consultant to retail teams and category teams to help craft best pricing and promotional strategies for their retailers, product portfolios, including new products.
  • Collaborate with category, sales and finance teams to optimize price-pack architecture
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in pricing and promotions optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in analytics, data visualization, and strategy development
  • Highly skilled in quantitative analysis, building business cases, presenting to/influencing senior leadership, collaborating with cross functional teams
  • Experience in pricing, promotions and financial analysis and translating them into insights/action plans
  • Proficient in business driven/self-service business intelligence (Tableau or Power BI preferred)
  • Ability to understand a problem, structure the analysis needed to solve it and come up with innovative and insightful solutions and recommendations.
  • Self starter, strong sense of curiosity and bias for action

Relationships:

  • Reports to Senior Manager, Net Revenue Management
  • Works extensively with sales team, category team, finance, data & insights teams.
