Job Summary:

Independence Pet Group (IPG) is seeking a Relationship Manager- Senior oversees a portfolio of assigned employee benefits groups working with HR professionals and Benefits Brokers to drive employee enrollment into the voluntary benefit plan and ensure retention at renewal.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Works with internal partners to ensure a successful launch of the pet insurance benefit amongst various organizations.
  • Acts as a real-time post-sale consultative partner to clients and ensures a positive experience by maximizing value and benefit for product and/or service offerings.
  • Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Develops trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and internal business units.
  • Develops new business with existing clients and/or identifies areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Serves as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters.
  • Assists in product recommendations, client onboarding, new-client implementations, and training to ensure client experience is seamless and consistent.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 yearsโ€™ relationship management, account management, or related experience
  • Education: Associateโ€™s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must have and maintain Property & Casualty License or must obtain within 45 days of hire
  • Mentors and guides others as needed
  • May listen to calls to evaluate and provide feedback
  • May have special projects
  • Provides technical assistance to other sales staff and works on special programs/projects
  • Accountability/Complexity:

  • Leads, mentors, and is a role model for the team and company
  • Position is typically reserved for long-term, high performing distinguished incumbents
  • Managers depend on individual to take on certain unique responsibilities where oversight is not necessary
  • Position is generally a career sales position
