Job Summary:
IPH is seeking a Strategic Finance Director to lead and scale our strategic finance function at a high-growth organization. This role sits at the intersection of finance, analytics, and business strategy, driving data-informed decision-making across the company.
You will partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams including Product, Underwriting, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to deliver actionable insights, optimize financial performance, and shape long-term strategy.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who combines strong financial acumen with analytical rigor and the ability to influence business outcomes in a dynamic, data-driven environment.

Pay Range: $175,000 to $230,000, plus bonus DOQ
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, influencing key decisions on growth, profitability, and capital allocation
Support financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives and long-term planning
Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and investments with a focus on financial return and scalability
Partner cross-functionally to drive performance improvements across pricing, retention, acquisition, and operational efficiency
Financial Planning & Analysis
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis versus plan, forecast, and prior year
Develop and maintain robust financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation
Standardize and enhance financial reporting processes, templates, and governance
Deliver board-level materials and executive reporting with clear, actionable insights
Build deep expertise in business drivers, systems, and processes supporting financial performance
Analytics & Business Intelligence
Translate data into actionable insights to drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and operational efficiency
Develop KPI frameworks and performance dashboards to monitor business health
Partner with Data and Tech teams to ensure high-quality, scalable data infrastructure
Support advanced analytics initiatives including cohort analysis, LTV/CAC modeling, and forecasting
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Finance or relevant field
10+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, or related fields
3+ years of experience leading high-performing teams
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with experience supporting strategic decision-making
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive business outcomes
Experience working with data and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in insurance, insurtech, or regulated financial services
Familiarity with underwriting, claims, pricing, or risk analytics
Experience with modern data warehouses and analytics ecosystems
Exposure to predictive modeling or advanced analytics techniques
in pet industry is a strong asset
