Job Summary:
Pets Best is seeking a Specialist of Business Development, who will be responsible for improving our company's strategies and competitiveness under the supervision of our Business Development Executives. They will be responsible for our deal evaluation process, allowing us to make informed decisions on new business and existing partnerships.
Job Location: Remote
This position is remote, and you will work from a home office. Occasionally, travel to the nearest office may be required for in-person activities such as team meetings, training, and culture-building events.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and potential new markets.
Report on and create business cases related to new sales opportunities.
Analyze industry trends, competitor performance, and consumer behavior, communicating findings to key stakeholders.
Coordinate deal evaluations and post-event retrospectives across teams using a proprietary Deal Evaluation Model to gain alignment and insights.
Review submitted deal evaluations and retrospectives for accuracy, non-standard terms, and necessary escalated approvals.
Manage, track and report on pipeline development.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Proficient in in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills to convey information clearly to all levels and functions within the organization.
Strong organizational skills β attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage concurrent projects.
Critical thinking with proficiency in research and analytics.
Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
2-5 years of previous relevant experience that shows the use of skills needed to execute this position successfully.
Experience in integrated business management and CRM software, such as Salesforce.
Competency in researching sales leads and creating business cases.
Experience in the Insurance industry.
Self-motivation - willing to take the initiative.
